Evolving Financial Predictions: 2006

#1: America: The Archetypal Villain
Make no mistake about it: the #1 reason for the Mideast wars roots in religious politics. Simply put, the Iranians, Iraqi, Afghans (not the dogs), Syrians-- and only because they are still of use, the Saudis and the U.A.E.-- fail to hold America's values; therefore, they must be taught a lesson. The Bushmen fail to care about world opinion. They will bait and switch with whoever suits their purpose (i.e.: scorning the UN's stand on Iraq, then using the UN for pacts, treaties, peacekeeping purposes). The worm is beginning to turn. More and more countries are decoupling from US empire-building.

#2: The Myth of Globalization
US Corporations could care less about the American worker. Whoever comes cheapest in any part of the world is their multinational darling. If other nations are willing to work for a dollar a day, so be it. To hell with glutinous workers who expect minimum wage or thereabouts. Butt......don't dare ask CEO's to globalize their perks! They deserve every cent of their millions in perks--even if Enron accounting schemes must be instituted.

#3: Class Struggle
While on the subject of globalization, to keep the premise that America is still working, let's bring in the Illegals! Not only can we return to the sweatshops but also we can inculcate them into the New Tradition of Slavery. Long lives the Confederacy! We now have a new Roman Quarter where the slaves live in their hovels; the merchants have their quarter of the city, the professionals theirs and, finally, the Aristocrats their million dollar mansions. The key: pit the classes against one another.

#4: Political Corruption
Middle-Class America: Don't expect any simpatico from the White House, Congress or the Judicial System, for they are all beholden to lobbyists who are created by special interests to market the garbage we feed upon.... If we are told WMD's exist, then we believe it till it is 99% refutable...that we are winning the war in Iraq, then we go along with it till the corpses are returned in body bags, social programs are cut and the war rages on...that everything in the Gov's power was done to save Katrina victims, we believe that, too--only that ruse didn't take but several days to fathom. Money elects. Integrity dissects.

#5. Dollar Bankruptcy
Ever catch a loved one in a lie? The last thing they are wont to admit is that it was a lie. A coincidence. A misapprehension. A fault of some other party but...NOT A LIE! Thus, with the Government and the Fed: they have been lying to us so long about Inflation, Deficits, Trade that they must continually divert us to War, Abortion. Immigration issues...So long as the bankers, execs and politicians keep lining their pockets, to hell with the dollar! But the dollar is one hen coming back to roost. The world proletariat is beginning to wake up and ask, "Duhh...Why are we working for slave wages to keep Americans spending lavishly in repose? Duhh..."

#6:Inflation Will Win
Globalization sure makes inflation look benign. Unemployment has stabilized (so long as we remove the unemployed periodically from the books)...Prices have stabilized (so long as we use government hedonics to prove that 5% inflation is not really 15%...let's not count medical costs, housing costs, taxes into the formulae)...Prices have stabilized--so long as bankers, politicians and the Fed can manipulate markets. Once the derivative, bond and stock markets spring a Katrina leak, no jawboning from Washington will protect us from a dollar crash. Line your accounts with gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhondium--anything that will counter the onslaught of the dollar printing presses!

#7 :To Hell With The Environment!
The Bushmen are still in denial of irrefutable scientific evidence pointing to carbon emissions as the chief culprit to global warming. We live in a tactile, existential culture of NOW....Abstinence is against the rules of Rock/Rap/Hip-Hop ..American Idol... The ESPN/Vegas mentality of get-rich-quick mentalities America exports to the backward earth. .The remedy? Sell the forests to timber interests in the name of paying off the deficit (about 1% the cost of the military machine). Hey, if you own a ranch with thousands of acres, who needs public parks for mountain biking? Don't be concerned with species extinction. Survival of the Fittest!

#8. Barbarians at the Gates of Rome
No, this time it will not be military barbarians burning down Rome while Nero fiddles but financial barbarians burning down the printing presses of America. But this is a new paradigm. Just because it didn't work for the Weimar Republic or hundreds before and after it (we call them Banana Republics but, at least, they had bananas to show for it)...Dismiss a 3 billion dollar deficit per day...Dismiss the fact that capital account assets held by foreigners amount to 68.9% of US assets--or that foreign claims amount to 5.34 trillion --nearly double 2000. Hey, it's only a bookkeeping entry. The bankers are secretly meeting on how to default on the dollar and line their pockets--NOW!

#9: Welcome Back, Smoot-Hawley!
Protectionism didn't work as law in the Hoover Era...It's not gonna work now! All it will succeed in doing is runaway inflation and the precipitous collapse of the dollar.

#10. Take Back America
More and more demands to return government to the people. Is that the answer? Maybe Plato had it right: Philospher King...however...are there any more true Philosophers anywhere !@#$%^&&*
